What can be localized
Localize what your audience hears, reads and sees.
- 01
Dialogue & narration
Translate and adapt your script for dubbing or voice-over. Agree the language, dialect and human or AI voice route around your content and audience.
- 02
Subtitles & captions
Add translated subtitles or same-language captions, with SRT files or subtitles integrated into the video as agreed.
- 03
On-screen text & graphics
Adapt titles, labels and visible text for the target language. The approach depends on the source assets and whether the text is editable or embedded in the video.
- 04
Final video editing
Bring the agreed localized audio, subtitles and visual assets into the finished language version, with export requirements confirmed for your publishing platform.
Arabic language and source-file requirements
Agree the Arabic register and pronunciation notes before production. Review mixed Arabic–English text, numbers and punctuation in the finished frame, alongside timing and reading order.
Share the master video, editable graphics and separate audio tracks where available. Source quality and editability determine what can be adapted; the supported outputs and any reconstruction are confirmed in the quote.

Common questions
Video localization: your questions answered.
What is video localization?
Video localization adapts a video for another language or audience. It can combine script translation, dubbing or voice-over, subtitles, on-screen text and graphics, and final editing. The Arabic Studio coordinates the components included in your project so the language, audio and visuals work together in the final version.
Do I need dubbing, subtitles—or both?
The right approach depends on your audience, content and how the video will be watched. Dubbing or voice-over lets viewers follow the content through audio; subtitles provide a written language version and can support viewing without sound. You can request either or both. Human or AI voice options, where appropriate, are agreed before production.
What files should I provide for a video localization quote?
Share a link to the source video, its duration, source and target languages, intended audience, publishing platforms and deadline. Include scripts, terminology guidance, editable project files, a textless master and separate audio tracks where available. Use the materials-link field in the request form for video files; you can still send an initial enquiry when some assets are missing.
What affects the cost and turnaround time?
Video duration, target languages, the voice and subtitle approach, source asset quality, visual adaptation and required exports all affect the scope. Review rounds and changes to the source video can also affect the schedule. Share the video and your deadline so we can provide a project-specific quote and delivery plan.
What will I receive?
The agreed scope can include finished localized video exports, subtitle files and separate localized audio. We confirm the language versions, formats and platform requirements before production. Editable project files and additional versions are not assumed to be included; specify them in your brief so their availability and scope can be agreed.
How is video localization different from video translation?
Video translation focuses on transferring the spoken or written content into another language. Video localization can also adapt the voice, subtitles, visible text and graphics, then integrate those elements into a finished video. The work required depends on your audience, source materials and publishing requirements.
Can you localize videos into Arabic?
Yes. The Arabic Studio provides Arabic video localization, including the language, audio and visual elements agreed for the project. We define the intended audience and whether Modern Standard Arabic or a particular dialect is appropriate, then plan for Arabic text direction, font support and consistency across the video. Share any additional target languages so their scope can be confirmed.
Can you adapt on-screen text and graphics?
Yes, where the available source assets and project scope support it. Editable project files or a textless video master can make adaptation more straightforward. Text already embedded in a finished video may need reconstruction or an alternative treatment, which we assess before confirming the work.
Can you work from a finished video without project files?
Send the finished video for review, even if you do not have the original project files. We will assess the audio, embedded text and graphics, explain any limitations, and confirm what can be adapted. The feasibility and effort depend on the source video and the changes required.
Can I request only part of the localization workflow?
Yes. You can request a single service, such as dubbing, subtitling, on-screen text adaptation or video editing, or combine several services in one project. Tell us which elements are already complete and which need work so the scope and final handover can be defined clearly.
What happens if the source video changes after approval?
Send the new video version and identify the changed scenes or timestamps before further production. A revised edit can affect translated scripts, recordings, subtitle timing, graphics and final exports. We assess which completed or planned stages need to change, then confirm any adjustment to the scope, cost and delivery schedule.
